Final Cut License
Posted by Mike Alexander on February 2, 2011 at 4:26 pmI was wondering if there is a way to check and see if Final Cut has been loaded on a additional machine or MacBook? Can I use the serial number?

February 8, 2011 at 3:38 pmDo you mean you want to see if your license of FCP is being used on a machine other than yours?

February 8, 2011 at 4:08 pmYes, that is what I would like to do. The IT folks are doing an audit of our systems/software.

February 8, 2011 at 5:34 pmNot sure how you can tell which computers would be running it, but I do have the same license of Final Cut Studio for my iMac and my MacBook Pro. I know that I cannot work in FCP on my iMac if it’s open on my MacBook, and vice versa. It tells me there is another version open on another computer in my network. Although, I’ve had my MacBook Pro for about a month, so I’m not sure if that’s standard or if it’s just the way that my computers are configured, etc.
