    Hi folks,
I’m looking for some help with FCP 6.0.5. It keeps freezing during routine activities (Opening a project, adding a color correction filter, logging and capturing etc.)

It started last week when I was trying to export a sequence. It would always reach the same point and then crash. So I figured a file had corrupted somewhere along the way. I found the culprit and got back up and running with no issues. Now (a week later) I’m working on a totally different project and it keeps crashing during what I consider routine activities.

I’ve had this system up and running for over a year with few problems. I have 10gb of ram, a quad duo-core, an internal WD raid (no possibility of them going to sleep). Any thoughts?

I’m wondering if I should uninstall FCP and reinstall.

Before you reinstall trash prefs, repair permissions and run Disk Warrior (IMHO, the single most important utility for a Mac).
