Launch the application not a project. Where exactly does the launch fail?

Perian will not fix this. BTW your version of QuickTime and the OS is too new for that version of FCE. It is not supported in recent versions of the OS and QT. You need to either backslush to 10.4.10 and QT7.2 or get a newer version of FCE.

Before I decide to spend on an upgrade, can you suggest a place I can send my demo reel to have it compressed and sized properly to be embedded into my website. You can see the media and the dilemma at:

The player controls disappear and I don’t have a poster frame. I think I’ve isolated the cause to be that I’m resizing the original Quicktime to a smaller size. Any suggestions or corrections to my plans?

I have controls on the file I looked at. It’s pretty small indeed but a pretty high data rate and file size because it’s slow to download for such a small image. You can set the poster frame in the QuickTime Pro player, or in the web authoring application. As far as encoding your video goes I’d suggest finding someone local to you, wherever that is.

Hello toghether,

i am working with finalcutexpress hd and never had problems with it until now. I need to render my last projects and when i am trying to render them, my computer tells me, that i do not have enough Starvolumes. But in reallity i have almost 700GB! Free.

It would be great if you could give me a tipp on that, because i need to finish soon.

Check where the render files are going in System Settings in the FCE menu.
