Final cut Express capture problems
I just purchased a new imac and had final cut express pre installed.
I hooked up my panasonic 100a with my fire wire cable turned it on and then launched FCExp
A window pops up and says it can’t recognize it. So I by pass it and go to settings and change the settings to ntsc basic that didn’t work either. So I prceeded to re set the FCExp to every and all the other settings and they don’t work either. What am I to do? Is there a problem with FCExp and the Panasonic 100a ? -

Don’t work for what? What were you trying to do by trying different settings?
Not trying to be difficult, but there are a billion “its” and a ton of “whats” involved in configuring software and hardware. Be a bit more specific when describing your dilemma and then folks can more easily help you.
If “it” is camera compatibility with FCE, then try first going to Apple’s website for the listing:
