  Final Cut 7 to Motion 4

  I have recently gotten Final Cut Studio 3 and having lots o problems. Everytime I try and send a file to motion, motion mysteriously add 1-2-1 on the end of the file and then says it cannot locate file. For instance, if I name the file Run, motion searches for Run1-2-1 and I get a checkeredboard on the screen. Anyone know what is going on?
