  • Final Cut 5 bug or am I missing something?

Posted by Bryan Keith on September 24, 2005 at 12:25 am

In previous versions of FCP, I would sometimes want to change the logged audio/video settings in the browser of an offline clip by control clicking or right mouse clicking on the “tracks” tab and change the capture settings…say for instance turn a 1V, 2A clip to just capture 2A. Final Cut 5 isn’t giving me the option. The manual mentions this feature, but it isn’t working for me. Anybody else have this issue or am I missing something here?

    Thanks,

    Bryan

You say you’re control clicking on the tracks tab. try control clicking on the logged clip itself.

you’re right, you can’t do this in FCP5, although i don’t think it’s a bug as FCP5’s multi track audio capabilities are far more complex than the limited 2 channels we had before.

in FCP5 you should right click the clip and choose “Clip Settings…” to adjust things

    cheers
