I shoot with the HVX 200 and recently had a problem with the P2 footage that I imported into Final Cut. The problem is that it will not play back real-time on my NTSC monitor but will play in both the canvas and viewer windows. My connection is through a canopus advc 110 firewire to my computer and s-video out to my NTSC monitor.

Can anyone recommend something to help? Settings Etc?

I think the canopus only plays back standard def. (SD) DV, if I am not mistaken. So, HD would be a bit of a problem.

Unless you have something like a Matrox MXO or
a Kona card that can downconvert HD to SD
then you cannot PB an HD stream in real time
    to an SD monitor….

All you are going to get playing
back through firewire is a still image…..
