final credit text distorted in FCP7
I have two projects going in FCP 7 – each 1 hour long, each having many photos, text, interview footage, film clips.
For each, I created an end credit file in Photoshop, exported as a .tif file, and then imported into FCP.
In one of the projects, called “CC” the title roll looks perfect, even when enlarged in the FCP canvas, the letters are crisp, and when exported on to DVD and played, it looks fine.
In the other project, called “AC” the text when enlarged in the canvas has jagged edges, AND, when exported as a DVD, the text in the end credits are shimmering…
I even copied the end credits from AC’s project into the time line of CC, and, in THAT timeline, the text is FINE….
AND, if I copy and paste CC’s end credits into AC’s timeline, it is distorted!!
This all leads me to believe there is something in the AC project’s format/timeline that is a problem. But I have no idea what it could be.
Any suggestions?
I’m supposed to deliver tomorrow and this is all that is holding me up.I can post a screen shot of both if that would help (and if that is possible?)

Check sequence codec. If you used DV codec it will make text look like jagged crap when rendered. Change sequence codecs to ProRes if it is DV. DV is a codec to avoid.
