  Filters menus dont’ appear in Photoshop

  Hi everybody.
  I have this problem:
  when I select a filter in Photoshop nothing happens. The menus don’t appear anymore.
  Since I chanced the video resolution from 1600X1200 to 1280X1024 I think it could be that they are out of the visible area.
  If so, is there any chance to delete any pref file instead of reinstalling photoshop?

  Can anyone help me?
