Hey, I tried the fix Kate suggested, and it fixed that particular problem, but now some of the audio clips are just silent in playback. And some aren’t. All the silent clips have no filters, but most of the okay clips don’t have any either. Furthermore, some clips come from the same video file, and the ones at the beginning of the sequence are fine, and the ones at the end are all silent! And the whole timeline is rendered. Actually, the clip itself has lost the second half of its audio. The video played in quicktime works fine.

I tried deleting and replacing the clips from the video file that works fine, but got the same result. Is DiskWarrior the solution here?

    Thank You Kate

You are a goddess. I had to register to thank you but well worth it. I was tearing my hair out.

To Jason: That sounds like a corrupt render file to me. If time allows, I would trash all of your audio render files and re-render. (I would also re-render in segments – seems to work better for me.) Let us know what solutions works. -Kate

I agree that the other solutions were a tad extreme. I took your advice and went into the system settings and enabled my filters and blurs under render control but it still didn’t work. Then I went into the sequence tab and entered sequence pref. and did the same thing there and it worked. Thanks a lot you saved mer a lot of time and money.

Kate, thank you so much for this suggestion. I trashed my Audio Render Files for this project and now I’m back in business.

Thanks so much for your advice. I was having the same problem, and that was exactly it, the filter was unchecked. I must have hit some command on my keyboard by accident. Thank you again. I’m on deadline today and definitely don’t have time to mess around with it.

    THIS.
I have looked everywhere for advice and tried everything, but this is the first thread that mentioned the filters check box in the sequence settings.

    THANK YOU!

Thanks so much! I had somehow turned off the filters in the sequence and that was it! So glad I didn’t go through all that extreme business with Diskwarrior. You are the greatest! Thanks again!
