  • Filter that works in Vegas 64 bit

I’ve just finished cutting together a feature length documentary using the Sony Vegas 64 bit version, and I’m ready for my final render.

I would like to apply a filter to the whole thing just to make it pop a little. Using the 32 bit version of Vegas and Magic Bullet Looks (MBL doesn’t work with the 64bit version of Vegas), I found a good one, but when I went to render it, the 32 bit version crashed about 10 minutes into the movie. I doubled the RAM in my machine, but then the same thing happened.

So now I’ve given up using the 32 bit version to render, and I plan on finding a suitable filter package that will work in the 64 bit version. Any suggestions?

Magic Bullet won’t work, Boris FX won’t work, and I’ve tried New Blue Film Effects, but it doesn’t do a whole lot. Anybody have any ideas?

Boris RED 5 works under Vegas 64bits. It will be released somewhere between tomorrow and 30 September.

Creative Ease from Pixelan also works as plugin in Vegas 64 bits.

Creative Ease plus a couple of the regular Vegas plugins should work out for me.

    Thanks.

I forgot one which might be usefull to you: not a real plug-in but a set of presets from VASST: REELPAK Filmlooks. But you need to have either Ultimate S or Production assistant to be able to run the Reelpaks.
