Filter or Transition problem
I’m trying to find, or mix together filters or transitions to achieve a look. I’m going from video of a clip being played on a TV screen to that actual clip. I have them synced up, but I need the effect and/or transition to go form the clip on the monitor to just the clip.
I want the effect similar to what I’ve seen on The Matrix, when they’re showing Neo the television monitor of what the real world looks like, and then it zooms in to the monitor, and then the image takes up the whole frame. I want it to look like that camera has zoomed in through the TV, and is now in that world.
I know this sounds amatuer, but I need to do this. Any advice on where I should start? Is there and filters I can download or modify to make it have the moir

If you can rent the movie, try to deconstruct what you’re seeing stepping through it frame-by-frame. I think you will see that there is a fake 3D scene somewhere in between, something that gives the illusion of z-space being traversed as the camera moves into the screen surface. Some of the buildings and foreground elements appear to be in front of the screen glass.
This is truly advanced effects design. You will need After Effects since FCP does not offer any 3D elements and, frankly, faking it in FCP would be frustrating beyond reason.

You’re right. That is pretty complex, but really, I would be satisfied with just getting some scan lines, and then being able to make that get larger with the image on the screen as I zoom into it. Would MAKING those scan lines something I should just do in AE? Or photoshop? On a transparent background?
