    Hi,
What’s happening if we film in 60p (witch is in reality probably 59.94p) and would like to deliver in 59.94i (at real speed, without slomo).

Are we loosing 1 frame out of 2 to get our interlaced output? Is that create a strobe effect?

    Is the frame blend?

At the final, we probably get a 2:2 field sequence?

What’s the consequence on the postproduction workflow?

I’m pretty sure that it’s not all the camera that shoot at 59.94p. Some like DSLR are shooting in 60p so that is probably causing some postproduction headache.

Every frame becomes 1 field, and in the process lose 1/2 the vertical resolution, but keep motion resolution, assuming an interlace format like 1080i. If you edit in 720p, it will stay 60p (59.94) throughout the process if delivering 720p as well. Only when going to an interlace format will you lose 1/2 the vertical resolution plus whatever scaling applied to create 1080i or NTSC.
