    Hi All,

I will be filming a sports themed commercial with speeds ranging from 24 fps – 60 fps. There will be some actions shots, and I read it’s best to capture these shots at 60 fps and 1/120th Shutter since there’s less motion blur. We want this spot to look cinematic, and those settings give a very sharp, video-y look.

Would I shoot the whole spot at 60fps & 1/120, and give a more cinematic look in post? Should I shoot the action stuff at the mentioned settings, and the rest at 24 fps and 1/48; matching the footage in post?

I did some test shots with these different settings on a T3i, but haven’t played with them in editing yet. The spot will be shot on either the C300 or the Sony A7 RII, pending budget, with B camera being a 5D MK II. I used the T3i just to get a feel of how these settings would effect the image.

    Thank you!
