    Dear Friends,
I have a simple query.Avid Xpress pro with MOJO has a Film editing option then why should anyone spend so heavily on a Media Composer. Is there a huge quality difference or there is something else.Your comments will help us in deciding for which system to go for to Edit Film.
    Thks

I recently worked as an assistant on a feature using XpresPro Mojo it was fairly decent. If u have a low budget i recommend i’m sure others will give u reasons fo using composer. Film Scribe worked perfect with it. It really depends on the editor. The editor i worked under was not oo effected and was able to use his user settings which if i recall unlocked a few small features not available in Mojo. Hope that helps
    cheers

“few small features not available in Mojo” I meant Xpress Pro! Not Mojo!

Sorry for another post. u can’t capture at 24fps with the Mojo. We had the telecine company log and capture it and put it on a Hard Drive for a bit of extra cash.

You can capture 24p with Mojo using the analog inputs. You can also capture 24p via firewire – no Mojo needed.

You can capture 23.976 without a Mojo, you need a Mojo for 24p becuase of the sample rate conversion going on from NTSC sources (23.976/29.97).

    anything 24fps
