I’m also trying to get the effect of film burning out or getting exposed to direct light i guess. Y’know how in some montage/music videos/ skate videos you see the film go red/yellow/orange and flash around for a bit?
I’ve tried the film flash effect by Aharon Rabinowitz and that’s cool but not quite what I’m after.

    Any help?
    Thanks

The best way is to use stock clipsThat are true film exposure at the end of a roll. Then SCREEN transfer this over your footage. For example we’ve made some of this by rolling film with the lens cap on and tweaking a bright flashlight into the viewfinder so it leaks onto the film. Then still with the lens cap on, let the roll run out. It will give you a few seconds of the orange yellow, white burning look. Then if you’re really bold, open the mag in sun light and let it expose the edges of the film.

If you don’t feel like making it yourself, there should be stock footage to use. There are digital simulations, but they just don’t look like the real thing.
