I need to do file transfers of 45-60 minute DV clips from a PC to a MAC so we can edit in FCP. Our radio station client is using Premier on a PC and we are going to have them export the files in the DV codec. I need a drive that we can transfer back and forth from location to location with 10 gig plus files. Question 1. Recommendation on a drive that we can use for transfers that does not have to have an external power supply. Question 2. How to format so the PC and the MAC read the files. I remember formatting a drive as FAT32 but I checked my PC and that option is no longer listed. Thanks in advance.

    Tom,

Get the MacDrive app for the PC, which will allow the PC to read drives formated your Mac extended, because FAT32 has a 4gb file size limitation.
