    Hi All,

I work on windows. I generally export my movies in Microsoft DVD Avi format. I was wondering what is the format that I should choose that works on a PC and Mac as well.

I know quickTime but I am looking for more standard format like a 720 x 480, 24fps stuff. Also compressed and non-compressed formats both.

    Regards,
    Anand

QuickTime has many options for what you mention.
Uncompressed: Animation codec at 100% quality is safe, though the files will be big.
Some of the other video codecs in QTime are not cross-platform. Most are, though, including photoJPEG, PNG (also lossless), Apple YUV.

QuickTime can handle up to film resolution.

    Does that help?

    Hi Jeff,

That sure does help. But I was also looking for options in AVI incase I run the same cross-platform. Any pointers on the same.

    Regards,
    Anand
