Field Sequential Stereoscopy compositing for goggles
Hello All,
I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with making field sequential video composites for stereoscopic goggles. In my case, I am producing from Maya.
From what I understand, the process should go like this: Create animation (or video) with 2 cameras, each representing an eye. Render each sequence. Bring them both into AE. Composite so that the resulting video has one eye’s sequence on the even fields and another on the odd fields. Then you just play the video through the goggles and there you have it.
It is the final integration of fields that has me stumped. Is there a way in AE to combine 2 sequences into one video using fields?
Also, as I have said, this is how I understand the process to work, that is not to say that this is right. I would love to hear from someone who has experience in this, or even anyone how just has a theory. All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
