field order problems – different order in the same file….
Hi guys,
I’ve been given a quicktime file that appears to have two different field orders in it. If I render upper field, some stuff is jerky, other stuff isn;t. If I render lower it swaps. The file needs to go to DVD. Any tips? I’m currently deinterlacing it but I’m not sure if this will make it worse.Thanks in advance

You could try setting a position hold keyframe, then at the point where the order shifts, set another one, but move the clip up or down one pixel. That will shift the field order back to the other order.
