Field order for mixed media/Bluray render
I am planning to put SD events and HD events on the timeline for a render for Bluray. The SD are lower field first and the HD are upper field first. How do I handle this? Do I make the field order the same for all the events or can they be different? Is there a better workflow? This is NOT a professional production, just family footage for private use. Thanks for your time.

You let Vegas handle it. It will do the right thing as long as the filed order is set correctly for each event.

Do not make them the same. The filed order on the event is how Vegas knows to convert them or not. It’s OK if they are different. Vegas will convert them appropriately when needed as long as you have the correct setting for each event.
