field option
hi
it’s really a question about settings in premiere pro which are required for Twixtor: I got from a tutorial that in order to avoid to get a full orange screen when I apply the effect, I need to create a new sequence that has the same settings as the footage. Problem is when I right click the videoclip in the Project panel to check what the field order is, there isn’t such an option inside the “interpret footage”. Any idea? I’m working on a Mac

Hi Mark,
In CS5, all you need to do is drag the footage to the new sequence icon to create a matching sequence.
Is your footage progressive? If so, no fields is the right setting.

thanks for the quick reply. I am working with premiere CS4 and I can’t see the icon to create a matching sequence. As for the footage, I am not sure if it’s progressive or not; shouldn’t that be discovered again in the (here missing) field order option inside the “interpret footage”?

Yes, but by missing, do you mean that it’s blank?
If so, the cause could be odd footage that was not compressed to a common format. Under field order, it should say “Use field order from file” and it should read either the field order, or progressive scan.
