I am having field issues with a project that I created in AE and imported into an AVID Media Composer. The file is uncompressed and set to render the lower field first…have I missed step? Thank you.

I rendered lower field first but I’m a little lost on interpret. Where would I find this?

Found it. The “seperate fields” box was off…should I have it set to lower field first? Also will I still need to make sure that I select “lower field first” in render settings?

    Hmm … shouldn’t DVCPro be 720×480? Not 486?

I rendered a 720×480 square pixels comp and I still got the field issue.

That did the trick. It worked great when I imported it back into the AVID. When I dragged the QT clipped that I exported from my Avid it created a comp sized at 720×486 NTSC D1 with the D1/DV NTSC (0.91) pixel aspect ratio.

[Dave LaRonde] “… simply drag your clip onto the Make Comp icon at the bottom of the project window, and you get a comp in you’r clip’s resolution and length.

I always do that when working with a comp that needs to match footage. Avoids human error.
