    Howdy.

We’ve had a 3D animation company put together an animation for a TVC. Initially they outputted it as progressive QT but it looked too jittery on playback so we asked them to put it out as interlaced (they delivered targas)… now I can’t seem to get it to playback properly at all.

I’ve tried taking it through AFX, setting the interpretation as upper, lower, none… outputting as prores, animation, final cut uncompressed… I just can’t get it right…

Anyone have any helpful suggestions for me…
I’m wasting too much time… and the client wants it on air very soon.
    Arrrrgghhh.

    Hi Damian,
Out of Upper, Lower and Progressive there in no other option.
Try to open the sequence in an application that can step field by field (AE, Shake,.).
When you change the field order in the clips, I guess that you change it in the sequence too, don’t you?

Jittery on what kind of monitor? What size & frame rate are the targas? What are your sequence settings in FCP?
