I normally render After Effects SD animations lower field first with the Blackmagic codec.

I’ve read that HD is upper field first though.
Should I render UFF with the DVCPro HD codec to view HD animations on a Decklink? Or should it still be lower field?

I know that I should be able to render both and see which looks correct. I’m having some motion jitter problems with my animations though and both UFF and LFF are looking pretty much the same to me at the moment.

    Hi Alisa,

I believe you should just copy the settings that you can see in Final Cut Pro HD for the DVCPRO HD easy setups. In other words, set the field dominance to Upper field first for interlaced HD (eg 1080i60) and set it to None for progressive HD (eg 720p60).
