I’m trying to create a road in a landscape. The road is created as a spline with a flat rectangle and sweep nurbs. The landscape is a plane. Both the road and plane are deformed by the FFD which is mostly okay. The problem is that the road does not follow exactly the contour of the plane. The length of the road adheres to the plane but the width is always flat across. If the road is at a crest of a hill, it will not bend but sort of cantilever away from the plane.
Is there a better set up for this? Is there a way to get a road to conform to the landscape primitive?

    thanks in advance.

it sounds like maybe you need to subdivide the rectangle you are sweeping (sideways…)

I didn’t consider subdividing, once I made my road editable it conforms to the plane as expected. Thanks for the tip.
Also, is there a way to have a road adhere to a landscape primitive?

    thanks in advance.
