    Hi All,

My thread below ( Venting Now!!!! ) really didn’t get that far with many meaningful responses.

It seems that on further investigation, capturing a DCVPRO100 stream live from the camera whilst recording to on board cards from my HPX3000 won’t happen as time code generated by the camera is not in the firewire stream.doesn’t.

    Don’t Blame FCP here…..

It will happen in free run with the T/C coming to the camera from another source – HUH??? That’s Dumb – I want to keep things simple:)

Happens on playback – FCP captures fine using code from the firewire stream.

T/C does happen with the 700 XDCAM ( over firewire in HDV ) whilst recording to a Disk and my Collegue here at Axis has captured footage on FCP this way – SIMPLE. The HDV codec is weak but they’ve got the idea!!!!

I don’t want firestore, Ki Pro, AJA IO, I just want a camera to work simply as it should- I’ve spent enough already.

Surely this would be a simple firmware upgrade.

The last firmware upgrade was mostly an upgrade to the upgrade path…….. C’mon Panasonic – set those engineering guys a challenge and while you’re at it, make the proxy files generated meaningful by using the same T/C as the cards.

    JAN????

    Best
