I am trying to add feathering to a video I am doing, but strugling with adding feathering to it. I can’t seem to access it. When using the shortcut keys “F” or “Shift F” in the Transform area, but nothing happens. Ive tried to get it to open directly on the video or on a new layer, but neither seems to work. Is there a setting somewhere in AE that would disable this?

You need to apply a mask to add feathering. Double click the rectangle tool to add a mask the same size as your footage, then feather away!

Only in after effects do children get to pick and whip their parents.
