  • Feather inside of mask versus outside of mask versus both inside and outside

I’m trying to feather a mask and make it only feather on the inside.

According to this page: https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/alpha-channels-masks-mattes.html, it says “By default, the feather width straddles the mask edge, half inside, and half outside. For example, if you set the feather width to 25, the feathering extends 12.5 pixels inside the mask edge and 12.5 pixels outside it.”

But I can’t see to find anywhere to alter this behavior. I know I can use the new variable feathering tool, but it would be an enormous pain to go back on this mask I already animated.

    Any ideas? Thanks!
