  FCPX xml keyframe errors

  With the improved xml export in 10.0.3 I’ve been experimenting with what does, and does not, round trip via xml. Basically xml export, then xml import, and see what doesn’t make it. Aside from any metadata it seems keyframe spline settings don’t come back the same.

  I made a simple scaled down shot start off screen… move into the center… hold for a few seconds and then move off screen. All keyframes are set to linear.

  I exported the xml and imported it back into FCPX. The keyframes are correct but the motion is wrong. The image overshoots way past the first “hold” keyframe. I noticed the first and last of my 4 keyframes came back set to Smooth. Reseting them back to Linear did not correct the overshoot.

  Should be easy enough to confirm by others.
