In the old Apple Compressor (4.1 and older I believe), there was a way to add srt files for subtitles and captioning.
How is this possible with Compressor 4.1.1?

I see no way to add this to my MPEG-2 Program Stream.

    Thanks,

    Jared

It’s there if you click on the source file in the job. It’s in the Metadata area and it supports Scenarist caption file.

MPEG-2 program and transport stream files: Compressor embeds the closed caption data in program and transport MPEG-2 streams using the EIA-608 ATSC protocol.

Thanks! It took me forever to just figure out how to select the Source File in the Compressor window so the Metadata and Caption options would appear.

I hear you. A tool tip or a better label on the interface would help unlock those secrets.
