I am pretty close to losing it on this project library that refuses to open.
I had it open three days ago; now if I try loading it from finder, FCPX opens, but hangs just past the splash screen…beachball and then eventually an ‘out of system memory” error.

I’ve tried trashing preferences, reinstalling FCPX, disconnecting RAID, restarting everything numerous times, renaming the project library, and opening from backup project libraries.

I can open other projects fine. But as soon as I try to open this particular one, FCP crashes.

Any ideas on how to bring events or projects into a new library if you can’t open the old one?

    FCPX 10.1.2
    Mavericks 10.9.4
    2013 6 Core Mac Pro
    32 GB RAM
    Firepro 700s

If you search “corrupt library” a bunch of threads come up. Checkout https://mobi.creativecow.net/thread/344/30482#31938
    There are others.

Hate to be a stickler for detail, but are not able to open the project or the library? Have you tried starting FCP with the option-key held and opening it that way? Or opening FCP first (without the library in question), then opening whatever it is?
