  • FCPX png still image renders badly on export

    Hi;

    I’m watermarking some short videos (SD 720×480, under 5 minutes), and the watermark png graphic I’m using renders blurry for some reason, at any resolution of the png. Anyone got any suggestions on this?

    I’m not talking about how it looks in FCP, but how it looks exported to a max-quality Quicktime 480p mp4 (h.264). Doesn’t make any difference whether I use a low or very high-res version of the png, except for increased rendering time w/in FCPX. Output looks the same. And yes, I have deinterlaced the SD video on import, and brought it in as full, uncompressed 4:22.

    Thanks,

    Cam
