So after spending hours searching for solutions, I decided to ask on here.

I was trying to move events out of FCPX over airdrop to my new computer, and accidentally dropped them into another event in final cut, so me being me, I immediately force quit the application and opened it back, under 1 event, they’re all missing. I tried relinking the clips, no luck, it finds them, but says they’re incompatible. So I decided to try one of the songs, and it matched the songs and let me recover them fine, but for video, nadda, nothing..

Any ideas? I’m really lost here and I would appreciate any help I get!

Try simply IMPORTING the same files again into the event in question, as if for the first time. So NOT via the relink command. Experience has shown that that (oddly) will often times work (relink) when relinking itself doesn’t.

When I try to reveal those clips in finder, it won’t open, but any of the other events it does.

[Doug Suiter] “Please share your findings”

Yeah. That would actually be helpful. Especially since I know this has happened to many others also (including me), so a little hint at what to do would surely be greatly appreciated. Kinda the whole point of a group like this, no? 😉

Yeah I was going to post it on here, but didn’t have time yesterday…

So since it would only match the music, I let it relink the music files and then click reveal in finder, and wala! There were all my clips too.

Wait… so the only real problem was that you didn’t know where your clips were (to relink them)??
