    Hi there,

Anyone have any ideas why FCPX is filing two events filmed (and dated in the metadata) in 2011 in a folder labelled 1970? You can see the problem in the attached screenshot.

As I’m in the process of trying to sort out my metadata and file handling (I’m still new to FCPX!), I’d really like to get this discrepancy in order.

    Any help really, really appreciated!

    Cheers,

    Ben

There’s no screen grab attached, but if you select the clip in the Event Browser, and from the Modify menu choose “Adjust Content Created Date and Time”.

It’s probably off in the first place as perhaps the camera you were using had it’s internal clock set to 1970.

It’s OK, it happens to the best of us. My internal clock gets reset to the 1990s on occasion.

    Thanks Jeremy!

In the end I re-imported all the mis-filed events since all the clips contained within them had the correct date and time. No idea how this has happened but it probably has something to do with transfering everything over onto an external hard drive, switching macs and generally trying to put my house in order.

But your reply is much appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Ben
