    FCP7 Unable To See Mounted Network Drives

    Connected to servers over a 10GigE connection via Samba.

    Drives mount and browse normally in Finder and show up on the desktop.

    In the FCP import dialogue, the network drives show up in the sidebar, but when selected, do not populate the file browser.

    Anyone else seen this?

    I have arrived at a “solution!”

    a. mount offending network drive
    b. create a shortcut to mounted drive on local drive
    c. open FCP
    d. navigate the drive via said shortcut
    e. enjoy a Guinness as imports commence

    This was discovered out of desperation – Questions like “how” and “why” have no meaning.
