FCP7 – “Share” and matrox MAX tech.
Posted by Chris Gormlie on July 23, 2009 at 8:49 pmIt would seem that the new ‘share’function is a bit more than just a bunch of Compressor presets built into FCP so…
Can anyone cast any light on whether it can utilize the accelerated h264 rendering of the matrox ‘max’tech?

July 23, 2009 at 8:57 pmall you are probably going to get at this time are assumptions but I think it is fairly safe that whatever can be utilized by Compressor will be utilized via Share. Share is only an interface to Compressor, Compressor is only an interface to the encoding engines.

July 23, 2009 at 11:10 pmIt will be nice if when using the “Share” interface to compressor that you can choose a cluster for compressing (multicore) and it not crash FCP PLUS then you can continue to work on your projects.
