Posted by Gabriele Gismondi on November 3, 2010 at 7:24 pmhi,
just upgraded to FCP7 (total re-installation).
it looks great but the most of the default keybords short cut doesn’t work..not even Z for Zoom or A for basic tool..just B for scissors seems to work..tried to change k.layout to US but nothing changes..choosing from the sidebar all commands works..any suggestions? thanksGabriele Gismondi replied 15 years, 5 months ago 3 Members · 4 Replies -

November 5, 2010 at 1:39 pmTry trashing FCP prefs, if that fails, trash the plist file… post back with results.
Your problem isn’t common. I’ve never read this happened in the past.

November 22, 2010 at 5:55 pmHi,
I am writing from Palma de Mallorca (Spain). I had exactly the same problem and I solved it by doing the following:
Go to FCP7 Tools – keyboard layout -Default Layout -U.S. Ignore the warning and press OK. Your problem will be solved.
Good luck!

November 24, 2010 at 6:35 pmhi friends, thanks for tips.
I solved the problem just yesterday..
a friend suggested my this way: before launching FCP go to Mac Preferences/international; then move english as first language and italian (i’m from italy..) as second, then just do vice-versa, move italian as first language and english as second. close Pref and launch FCP..here it goes!
