OK its all shot and looks great! Unfortunately, FCP will not recognize my JVC GY-HD100u cam. Everything was shot in 720P. Set all my capture and playback settings to 720P, and my FW settings are set to HDV firewire. I CAN control the camera from the capture screen and log clips but the captured footage is full of dropouts and dropped frames. Playback is not happening at all thru the camera. The playback device tab has 720P grayed out.
    System: G5 1.8GHz single processor, 2GB RAM, FCP 5.0, Quicktime 7.0, external 200GB FW800 drive. HELP

I don’t think FCp works with the JVC, you have to use Lumiere. Do a search in the HDV forum,
I seem to remember some workarounds, and I think you need 5.0.3
