fcp5 i don’t have mpeg2 export option
i have fcp5.0.1 and according to the manual i should have the option to export in mpeg2. but the option is not there. does anyone know why??
plus compressor strips my audio when i try and make an mpeg2. any thoughts

Update to 5.0.4… as a side note, it’s full of bug fixes.
What flavor of MPEG are you needing to create? For a DVD burn or?

i do have 5.0.4 i need to make mpeg2 to upload to an ftp site

Compressor 3 will make a transport stream… which is what you’re talking about. I can’t remember if 2 does or not, but search the online manual for it on the word “Transport”. If it does it, you’ll see the procedure.
There is multiplexing software out there to do this, but I figure we should see what you can do for free first, eh?

Jerry do you mean a multiplexed (1 file with video+audio) mpeg file?
Transport Streams are typically HD and Program Streams are typically SD.
That would sure be nice if compressor 3 actually had the ability to build a muxed file instead of separate streams.
