We would like to automate our commercial sequence creation process for our 70 second traffic files. Currently we have Neilson watermarked audio files named with ISCI, spot name and 800#. From which we name the FCP sequence, add the ISCI and 800# to the slate and the 800# accordingly throughout the spot as needed.

Now is there a XML script that can do this part for us? Read the audio files names use an existing sequence, duplicate and rename accordingly, then using the audio name or a text file update the slate and 800# in the commercial throughout as needed? we are open to replacing the 800# via a Motion template.

I contacted Anreas Kiel at Sherico Film Tools back in December and again about a month a ago. Little response and feedback. Expressed my frustrations, waiting for reply. not holding my breath.

Now I would like begin to explore other options.

Any suggestions short of beginning to learn XML? I know it’s and option but coding is NOT my forte.
