    Hi everyone,

I have a couple of questions regarding the latest edition of FCP X and the ability to ingest media from P2 cards A,E,F series. I know they are fairly old forms of media but unfortunately for me that is what I am using to earn a crust.
Are you able to use a SonnetThunderbolt card reader to download footage etc to FXP X and start editing or do I have to use a converter such as MFX converter etc to edit footage? Sorry I am a cameraman so I have very little knowledge of the technical aspects of FCP X etc. I have read maybe I transfer footage to a RAID hard drive then ingest?
Hopefully my questions are not too vague. Also will both audio and video show up combined and not as seperate files?

    Thank you in advance.

Hi, just used P2 (it’s been a while since I last used it!) and I copied the cards to my RAID drive and then just imported into FCPX as I would with any other footage, audio and video come in as one file all synced.

You should be able to import into FCPX straight from the cards too
