FCP X generator preset enabling you to add some faux 3D text to your project.

This is only some fake 3d text, so don’t get too excited 😉
It has the following properties:
– editable text
– camera control
– optional lighting control
– defocus text (just to take the edges of a bit)It is created by replicating the text, and giving it multiple copies in Z depth. Hence if you rotate the camera around the text too far you may notice the layering of the text.
One idea, you could use a wing ding type font to create some 3d like symbols.

One idea I’ve been having now when we have linking and rigs working is to build Fake 3D by linking camera parameters to Extrude filters parameters. I think it should be possible but it’s too much math for me to quickly solve that thing.
Benefit would be that it’d run very very fast.
