Testing the workflow from 10.0.3 to Resolve Lite 8.1.1 and encountered error msg.

When loading XML in Resolve, got error message “Resolve Supports FCP XML 1.0. This is FCP XML 1.1” or something like that (not exact wording).

Opened the XML in TextEdit and changed reference in the 3rd line of the XML code from 1.1 to 1.0. Resolve Lite imported without a problem. Did a quick test grade, rendered, exported XML and brought back into X without a problem.

Monitoring to my Kona 3G is great except for dropped frames in unrendered material. AJA says I should not be having this problem. Once rendered, no problem. Offending files are all ProRes 422.

    What graphics card?

Aja also said this is a beta. You should email support if you haven’t already.

Graphics card is Quadro 4000 which of course does not support OpenCL in Lion. That could be part of the issue. But I can play unrendered material with AV deselected (so no output to Kona). AJA tech support believes the problem is the Quadro 4000.

It very well could be. Adding video out adds a layer of complexity.

I didn’t have a chance to install the Aja drivers today, but I’ll take a look. I have an ati card, though.

Ned sorry to hi-jack your post but how are you finding Lion with FCPX and Resolve Lite?
We’ve been holding off on updating the dozens of MacPro’s here to Lion.

    Thanks!

Lion has been the easiest, most trouble-free Apple update I’ve done. Your mileage may vary.

No real issues with Resolve Lite and workflow from FCP X is simple enough.

I’ve been in touch with Blackmagic about the XML 1.0 vs 1.1 question
