    hi everybody.
i’ve been researching some potential workflows for a project that i will soon be editing.
i went through the cow’s archives but somehow i didn’t really find a totally clear answer
for my problem… (hopefully it won’t become one).
so i would like to get some opinions from people on the forum.

here is what i have and wanna do.

    1) there is a 23,98 psf hdcam master and dvcam dub (of course, with the exact time code and a window burn)
    2) i would like to offline in fcp and take a 23,98fps edl back to my posthouse to do an online on hdcam
    3) for the offline i bring the footage into final cut and remove the pulldown in cinematools
    4) i edit my project in final cut in 23,98 fps and generate an edl in the end as said above to use it for the online
    5) i add a pulldown in order to get a dvcam tape version for myself
    6) for dvd distribution i could just use a downcovert of my 23,98 fps master

and one last question… will i have any problems previewing my 23,98 fps footage on a monitor via a firewire
device like dv-camera or deck? is there anything that i have to know about the pulldown cadence before i remove it?

    thanks for your advice.
