FCP wont see wirewire device
Upon startup I get the message that the NTSC firewire device is missing. No settings that I found can fix. Tried FCPrescue to reset preferences. Strange thing is the log and capture window can control the deck, but it still says the device is missing. Any ideas? I’m really baffled.

John, Is the drive Mac formatted? Is it showing up on the desktop? If you can try using disc utility to reformat drive or try Disc Warrior.
