I can’t seem to get FCP to initialize our HD1200A deck.

I’m using the easy setup DVCPRO HD 720p24. I have set the deck back to the defaults and then changed setting 600 to 1394, but FCP still won’t initialize the deck (even though the G5 is seeing it on the FW bus).

We’ve had this working before, is there some other default deck setting keeping it from being recognized, or am I missing something else? (Setting 894 is set to HD)

    Thanks,

You have to set it to 720p…it defaults to 1080i. In the 00s I believe.

020 SYS FORMAT, yeah, tried that too, nothing. I think that might only come into play when 022 PB FORMAT is set to Manual instead of Auto. Either way, it’s not working.

Could this have to do with DIF Input Channel or DIF Output Channel (882, 883)? I’ve never had to change them before, but it doesn’t look lke changing them does anything, so…
