FCP unexpectedly quitting due to Pro-Media plug in when using Motion
Hi
I have been working on a project in Final Cut Pro, and putting effects on it in Motion. When I tried to render the sequence in Final Cut Pro it kept unexpectedly quitting. I thought this may have something to do with my FCP preferences so I trashed them.
Now my Final Cut Pro is unexpectedly quitting before I’m able to do anything. The message I keep getting is ‘The application Final Cut Pro quit unexpectedly. The problem may have been caused by the ProMedia plug-in.’
I cannot find any ‘Pro Media’ plug-ins associated with Final Cut Pro on my computer and am really stuck as to what I can do now.
I’m running Final Cut Pro 6.0.6.
Can anybody help me?

Not all ‘plugin’ crashes are third party plugins, they can refer to internal parts of FCP that you won’t see unless you inspect the package contents.
There was an Apple software update that addressed a similar issue a while ago, so try updating everything.

I have done what seem to be the relevant updates and am still having the same problem.
Any other ideas?

I’m experiencing the same problem. I think it has really something to do with Motion. I’m doing a 3D photo montage and FCP keeps on crushing, I’m using FCP 6.0.6. There’s always the beach ball of death. Is there any solution out there by any chance? Help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
