    Hi,
I have a project that opened perfectly yesterday, but today when i try to open it FCP unexpectedly quits when it reaches about 66%… i have trashed prefs. what is funny is that any other project will open… but this project and it’s autosave files will not open…

    any ideas?

    Running FCP 5.1, 1.5GB ram, Dual 2.7 G5

    Hi
One or more of the movie capture clips or still images has been corrupted.
Either make all the media assets unavailable to the project (take them all offline) then see if you can open the project, copy ALL the project’s ingredients, paste into a new blank project, then make the clips available and reconnect one file at a time until you find the dodgy one.
Or with FCP not running, open each movie clip/still image in QuickTime Player/image viewer, looking for a clip that doesn’t open.
Its probably worth checking the still images first,
    Good luck!
