  FCP unable to locate the following external device (Firewire)

  Greetings!

  I just got my new MacBook Pro and installed FCP 7.0.3. I can not get FCP to locate any of my external firewire devices. All my setting seem to be correct and FCP is working fine otherwise. I also just downloaded Quicktime 7. The Firewire 800 port is working fine with external hard drives so I’m not sure what the issue is? Please Help….

  This is what I’m running:

  Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7
  Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
  Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1024 MB
  Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 (11E53)

  FCP 7.0.3
